The Fourth Kind

I saw this movie the other night. It was interesting. I'm not sure what to make of it. It seems like every abduction story that I ever heard. And there isn't any more evidence, in my opinion, than there ever was. It is interesting how many people claim this has happened to them. But really, it's pretty far fetched. It's not that I don't believe there can be life on other planets, in other solar systems. I'm hopeful for that, so usually believe the existence of "aliens" in the first place. However, I just don't see a reason why aliens would abduct humans, perform horrible tests on them, and then just release them back to where they came from. You'd think that after a few decades of doing this, they'd have learned everything they needed and would stop it. It just doesn't seem plausible to me that you have these sadistic aliens just torturing poor humans randomly without a reason. Just saying.

I don't think the aliens are studying humans in general but rather specific *types* of humans.

They seem particularly interested in crackpots.

Let's face it. They tend to search for study subjects in places where wackos, wingnuts, crackpots, and dingbats are most likely to be found.

Maybe they are searching for a cure.

LOL! I hope so. I have to admit, I've never heard of a Harvard professor kidnapped by a beam of light and later returned.
